This online self-paced course serves as a data literacy self-assessment that poses a series of questions on individual and organizational data competency. After responding to these questions, participants will receive their proficiency level results, a personalized data persona, and a list of helpful learning resources on the topic of data literacy.
How to Be Digital in the Canadian Public Service
Developed in partnership with 10 provincial and territorial governments across Canada, this six-week online micro-course explores what digital looks like in the Canadian government context and examines digital concepts such as agile and human-centred design. Through weekly lessons sent by email, participants will learn how to apply the culture and values of the digital workplace in their everyday work.
Information Management Awareness Quiz
This online self-paced quiz evaluates the participant's knowledge of essential information management principles and best practices. Participants will be able to assess their ability to properly manage information and data resources commonly used in their work environment.
Information Management Methods and Tools
This course provides a practical guide to the information management (IM) methods, tools and activities that support an effective departmental IM program. Participants will learn how to develop information classification structures, establish retention specifications and follow the proper process for disposing of information resources.
