Participants will learn about the importance of stopping hackers from accessing vital data by addressing system weaknesses that can be exploited by potential attackers.

Privacy in the Government of Canada
This course presents an overview of the customary roles and responsibilities of access to information and privacy (ATIP) specialists regarding the processing and protection of personal information held by the government. Participants will learn how to process personal information throughout its retention period, as well as how to manage privacy breaches and conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs).

This online self-paced course presents the information security responsibilities of all GCdocs users and demonstrates how to manage permissions for folders, files and other items in GCdocs. Participants will learn about their obligation to identify information resources that may require more restricted access and to safeguard sensitive information appropriately.
Reaching Efficient Solutions with Computational Thinking
This online self-paced course explores the characteristics and core techniques of computational thinking, including decomposition and pattern recognition. Participants will learn about the use of abstraction techniques and algorithms to solve problems and build new business solutions.
Searching and Accessing in GCdocs16
This online self-paced course demonstrates the search capabilities of GCdocs16 and how to access, modify and share documents using its search functions and tools. Participants will practise conducting a search and learn how to use keywords and filters to refine their search results.
Security Awareness
This online self-paced course provides federal employees with the foundational knowledge and tools needed to help them meet their responsibilities in support of the protection of information, individuals and assets, as outlined in the Policy on Government Security. Participants will learn about their role in applying Government of Canada security principles and best practices in their organization.
