Description
Disclaimer: The CANChat tool will be implemented gradually, rolling out department by department in the near future.
CANChat is the Government of Canada's first generative artificial intelligence assistant chatbot, which was developed by Shared Services Canada (SSC). This online self-paced course explains through hands-on modules and guided practice what CANChat is, how it works, and how to use it responsibly and effectively. Participants will gain the skills to work smarter, tackling tasks like drafting, editing, summarizing, and researching more efficiently, while also learning to seamlessly integrate CANChat into their workflows.
Topics include:
- understanding the core functions of CANChat
- working effectively with CANChat
- explaining the responsibilities of employees as users of this new tool
- recognizing the appropriate (and inappropriate) uses for CANChat
- using CANChat in realistic scenarios
Notes:
This course is a copy of Introduction to CANChat offered by Shared Services Canada but is open to all public servants through the Canada School of Public Service learning catalogue.
CANChat is a multilingual conversational chatbot available exclusively to federal public servants to help complete complex tasks and access information through natural language interactions and large language models.
