Note re: training on the Phoenix pay system
This course provides links to job aids on key tasks in the Phoenix self-service function for managers. These job aids are compiled in a downloadable document that can be found in section 7.3 of the course conclusion.
Managers play a crucial role in making timely and accurate decisions related to human resources (HR) actions that affect employee pay. This course for managers presents realistic scenarios that explain their managerial responsibilities for respecting HR-to-pay practices and timelines. Participants will learn about the policy instruments, tools and resources in place to help them to make appropriate and informed decisions that lead to employee pay.
Topics include:
- identifying the responsibilities, tools and processes needed to initiate pay-related actions
- applying the appropriate acts, policies, directives, and collective agreements that support HR-to-pay decisions
- using practical tools and job aids
Notes:
This course is intended for managers with signing authority under section 34 of the Financial Administration Act, as well as timekeepers, supervisors and human resources specialists who complete critical tasks that impact employee pay.
