Description
The financial resources of the Government of Canada are safeguarded through balanced controls that enable flexibility and manage risk. This master class for seasoned executives examines the principles and processes behind strategic resourcing and financial management, as well as the important role played by central agencies. Through practical workshops, participants will explore challenges, reflect on current practices and engage with colleagues to identify best practices for effectively securing the resources needed to deliver on their organizational mandate.
Topics include:
- examining accountability and stewardship
- managing finances and achieving results
- seeking authorizations and securing resources
- reporting on results and measuring performance
- advocating for proper financial resources
Notes:
This course is delivered as two consecutive days of training. Registration is reserved for executives and EX equivalents. A short readiness questionnaire will be administered prior to the offering date to enable full participation in class discussions.
