The financial resources of the Government of Canada are safeguarded through a series of balanced controls that enable flexibility while still managing risk. This course for seasoned executives examines the principles and processes behind strategic resourcing and financial management, as well as the important role played by central agencies. Through practical workshops, participants will reflect on current practices and engage with colleagues to identify best practices for effectively securing the resources needed to deliver on their organizational mandate.

This in-person course is reserved for executives at the EX-02 and EX-03 levels.
A valid Authority Delegation Validation Assessment for Executives (COR254) certificate is a required prerequisite for this course. Certifications are valid for five years.
Interested participants are also encouraged to complete Authority Delegation Training: Using Public Funds Responsibly (COR250) to refresh their understanding of the core principles of financial management.
