Transfer payments make up a large part of federal government spending. This online self-paced course provides an overview of grants and contributions, including the different categories of transfer payments, the life cycle of the transfer payment program and the role of key stakeholders in the process. Participants will learn about the objectives and expected results of the Policy on Transfer Payments and its related directive, as well as the important characteristics of transfer payments.
