Description
The Incident Command System is a standard on-site command and control system used to manage both emergency incidents and planned events in Canada. This online self-paced course introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundational learning needed for higher-level ICS training. Participants will learn about the history, principles, features, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System.
Topics include:
- explaining the purpose of the ICS
- reviewing the principles and basic features of the ICS
- defining the functions of the Incident Commander and the Command Staff
- examining general staff functions, facilities and common responsibilities
