All persons employed in the Government of Canada have a responsibility to safeguard information, assets and individuals, as described in the Policy on Government Security. This online self-paced course provides the foundational knowledge and tools required to apply security principles within government organizations, regardless of work location. Participants will learn about the eight security controls, common security risks, roles and responsibilities for securing their workplace, and how to "Do your part—be security smart!".
Topics include:
- applying the eight security controls described in the Policy on Government Security
- ensuring the safety and security of government information, assets and individuals
- safeguarding against common security risks
