Description
To combat climate change, the Government of Canada has committed to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. In order to achieve this ambitious objective, the federal government must adopt climate-resilient operations, including in the areas involved in the management of investments and assets, such as procurement, materiel management, real property, and project management.
This insightful event will explore what different sectors of the economy are doing now to meet this target and how the different jurisdictions in Canada are transforming their operations to achieve net-zero emissions. Speakers include experts from the public, non-profit and private sectors with experience in developing and implementing climate-resilient infrastructure and initiatives.
Participants from across the government will learn how to work together to expedite the conversion of their operations to be climate resilient. This event promotes the development of the Government of Canada Community Competencies applicable to procurement, real property, materiel management, and project management practitioners. Members of other communities can also benefit from participating in this event.
