Description

Knowledge of the federal procurement process is necessary to properly award contracts and receive desired goods or services. This course for procurement specialists explains the basic activities and considerations that are involved in the Government of Canada's procurement process. Participants will focus on the application of procurement policies and procedures through the four phases of the procurement process.

Topics include:

  • differentiating between sourcing methods
  • identifying the different types of standing offers
  • soliciting competitive bids
  • reviewing evaluation and contractor selection methods
  • monitoring a contract

Required equipment for virtual courses

To fully participate in the School's virtual courses, you must have a camera and a microphone.

Notes:

This course has been determined by the Secretary of the Treasury Board to be mandatory for procurement specialists.
