Description

In an increasingly digitized world, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force that is revolutionizing industries, shaping consumer experiences and influencing critical decision-making processes. However, amidst its promises of efficiency and innovation, AI also brings bias and fairness to the forefront as a pressing concern.

This forward-looking event will explore how bias infiltrates today's AI systems, including in training data and algorithmic decision-making processes that may reflect and amplify societal prejudices, as well as emerging governance and technological responses to combat these biases.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of some concerns about the use of AI, how bias can skew outputs and how to ensure fairness as AI becomes more mainstream.

This event is presented in partnership with Mila – Quebec AI Institute, and is designed to connect public servants with Canada's leading AI minds.
