The rapid global adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) has increased concerns about the resources required to power these technologies and the resulting environmental impacts of resource extraction and energy demands.
This event will examine the environmental impacts of AI tools and technologies, while sharing the steps Canadians can take to understand, measure, reduce and mitigate the resulting effects.
Participants will gain a better understanding from a leading practitioner in digital sustainability of AI’s end-to-end environmental impacts, who will also provide insights and guidance on these considerations when designing and delivering technology-enabled government products and services.
