Description
Artificial intelligence (AI), the simulation of human intelligence processes by machine, is one of the most promising, yet disruptive, technologies of our time. This online self-paced course introduces the core concepts and common uses of AI, along with the guiding principles and key policy mechanisms for its responsible use. Participants will learn to better understand AI and will discover how it can potentially serve to support the Government of Canada's various mandates, programs and services.
Topics include:
- articulating the relationship between AI and data
- identifying the different types and common uses of AI
- exploring the advantages, challenges and current uses of AI in government
- understanding the principles of responsible AI
