Inclusive design is an intentional design process that recognizes diversity and uses inclusive approaches that ensure more equitable outcomes. This online self-paced course identifies the impact of personal and organizational biases on decisions at work, and explores how to make interactions more inclusive by applying Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) and the Government of Canada’s Digital Standards. Participants will be provided with job aids to help them integrate inclusive solutions into the development of government programs and services.
Topics include:
- recognizing the impact of personal and organizational biases
- using the GC Digital Standards and GBA Plus to mitigate biases
- eliminating potential barriers when developing products and services
Notes:
This course offers a high-level overview of bias, the GC Digital Standards, and GBA Plus and refers participants to detailed learning resources. The course includes downloadable content that combines key considerations from the GC Digital Standards and GBA Plus to assist in the preparation of an inclusion analysis.
