Description
Inclusive design is an intentional design process that recognizes diversity and uses inclusive approaches to ensure more equitable outcomes. This online self-paced course identifies the impact of personal and organizational biases on our decisions at work and explores how to apply the Government of Canada Digital Standards and Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) to help mitigate these biases. Participants will be provided with helpful job aids to help them integrate inclusive solutions into the development of government programs and services.
Topics include:
- recognizing the impact of personal and organizational biases
- using the GC Digital Standards and GBA Plus to mitigate our biases
- eliminating potential barriers when developing products and services
Notes:
This micro-course offers a high-level overview of bias, the Digital Standards, and Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) that refers participants to more detailed learning resources throughout. The course includes downloadable content that combine key considerations from the Digital Standards and GBA Plus to help guide in the preparation of an inclusion analysis.
