Description
To meet the high expectations surrounding the delivery of digital services, leaders throughout the Government of Canada must upskill to help guide this digital transformation. This online self-paced course, designed for executive leaders and other forward-thinking public servants, provides insight into how government services are currently being transformed or adapted to meet the digital demands of Canadians. Participants will learn about the need to adapt their leadership style and the new skills that are required for them to succeed in the digital era.
Topics include:
- exploring the evolution of government services
- examining how governments are building and supporting digital platforms and organizations
- explaining why getting government digital services right is so important
- developing new leadership skills for the digital era
Notes:
Each week for eight weeks, participants will receive an email containing advice and guidance from David Eaves, Associate Professor in Digital Government at the University College London Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose. Each email will include a short video (between 5 to 10 minutes) and a curated list of links to resources on public service transformation and digital leadership. At the end of the eight weeks, participants who viewed the videos will receive a certificate of completion.
