Description
Data is an essential indicator used to provide Canadians with the services and information they actually need and use. To do so, good data practices allow the government to create stronger and better-informed policies based on data and other evidence.
This event features a panel discussion on how to best use data and the opportunities and challenges of implementing the 2023–2026 Data Strategy for the Federal Public Service, and is kicked off by Stephen Burt, Chief Data Officer for the Government of Canada, who will highlight how federal departments are wielding the power of data to achieve the objectives of the Government of Canada’s Digital Ambition.
Participants will gain a greater understanding of the interconnectivity of data, along with how to use data for decision-making and to enable data-driven services. Participants will also learn how data impacts the work they do and how to become an ambassador for the Data Strategy within their department.
