Description

One of the four mission areas outlined in the 2023–2026 Data Strategy for the Federal Public Service is to establish common approaches and data standards across the Government of Canada through data stewardship models. Data stewardship supports the consistency of data, its quality, and the ability to share it across government with clear accountabilities, processes and common data standards.

Hosted by the GC Data Community, this event will explore practical use cases to unpack data stewardship models and raise awareness of the vital role of data stewards in maintaining public trust through responsible, transparent and ethical data management.

Participants will gain a better understanding of the role of data stewards, how to apply data standards in day-to-day work, as well as how data governance supports better decision-making and service delivery to Canadians.
