Description

The need for diversity, new perspectives, and ethical behaviours in the field of technology design and delivery has never been greater. Underrepresented groups within this sector continue to face ongoing challenges, including being less likely to be hired or promoted, having fewer senior leadership opportunities, and experiencing higher rates of discrimination and turnover. Despite a high demand for tech, design, AI, and cybersecurity skills, many organizations remain unable to escape from challenging or even toxic environments to better support the people they need to retain the most.

This event will examine issues of discrimination in the technology sector, including representation, leadership, organizational culture, and systemic biases.

Through the lived experiences of invited guests, participants will learn about existing support systems and how to create more equitable, healthy, and supportive organizations within the tech sector.
