Description

With a theme of "Empowering Insight and Action," the GC Data Conference 2025 (February 19 and 20, 2025) focused on strengthening data stewardship through active participation, enhancing data knowledge for fluency, and unlocking scientific data for the societal benefit of people in Canada and the planet.

This insightful event features Anna Rosling Rönnlund, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Gapminder, who explores how data can be leveraged for the benefit of people and the planet by revealing economic and environmental trends.

Participants will gain insights into how to promote a fact-based worldview, apply data literacy, understand the implementation of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and combat disinformation and misconceptions through data visualizations.
