Description
To demonstrate value and drive more effective and equitable outcomes for Canadians, it is essential to prioritize the responsible use of data when developing programs and policies. By understanding how to better collect disaggregated data, public servants can further address the diverse needs of Canadians, make better-informed decisions, and more accurately report on results.
Hosted by the GC Data Community, this informative event will explore how to uncover insights about impact by applying responsible data practices throughout the policy and program development lifecycle. It will cover topics such as setting up data for monitoring and evaluation, respecting Indigenous data sovereignty, and safeguarding data privacy, all in alignment with the 2023–2026 Data Strategy for the Federal Public Service .
Participants will gain insights into responsibly leveraging disaggregated data, applying practical tools and data collection methods to their work, and implementing best practices to ensure data privacy and data quality.
