Description

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools are rapidly transforming the content-creation process and offer many potential benefits to the Government of Canada. This course builds on the government’s recent Guide on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence by outlining key considerations when using these tools, including the importance of inclusive language and effective commands and prompts. Participants will gain the knowledge essential to navigating and applying this emerging technology by learning from specialists in the AI field.

Topics include:

  • exploring generative AI tools and identifying potential applications in the Government of Canada
  • understanding the principles of responsible use of generative AI
  • ensuring inclusive language and inclusive AI practices
  • writing clear, specific and inclusive prompts to guide AI tools
  • evaluating the quality of AI-generated output

Notes:

To fully participate in this virtual, instructor-led course, participants will need mobile devices with cameras capable of scanning QR codes in addition to their computers.
