Disaggregated data can help policy-makers develop more targeted and effective public policies by identifying the unique needs and challenges faced by different demographic groups. This online self-paced course explains data disaggregation, how it can inform the early stages of policy development, and how it can lead to better public policy outcomes. Through videos, interactive activities and case studies, participants will learn how to identify potential target groups and guide the formulation of government initiatives.
Topics include:
- understanding what disaggregated data is and why it is important
- reflecting on the impact of disaggregated data on policy outcomes
- extracting and synthesizing key findings, and presenting them in data tables
- framing messages that contain disaggregated data
