Description

The ability to analyze and use disaggregated data is essential for crafting policies that are both inclusive and effective. This online self-paced course takes a real-world issue—challenges faced by Black entrepreneurs in Canada—and chronicles the process that policy analysts can take to create actionable insights that will guide policy decisions. Participants will be prompted to think critically and solve problems related to disaggregated data.

Topics include:

  • using data linkages to address knowledge gaps in the Black-owned business ecosystem in Canada
  • using census data and charts to outline key findings about business ownership
  • analyzing disaggregated data to identify challenges faced by Black entrepreneurs in Canada
  • communicating findings from disaggregated data analysis
