Description

The dynamism of the Indo-Pacific region offers many benefits, sometimes at the expense of the environment and local populations. To help mitigate these challenges and to benefit from the region’s growth, Canada needs to be an engaged, reliable, and culturally aware partner to the Indo-Pacific.

This event will explore the Indo-Pacific’s goals for economic and environmental sustainability, the implications for communities and ecosystems, Canada’s role in anticipating and assisting with these challenges, and opportunities for collaboration with non-governmental organizations in the Indo-Pacific region.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the intersection between economic growth, environmental sustainability and people in the Indo-Pacific region
