Description
Canada has long been recognized as a global energy leader, thanks to its rich energy resources and its position as a key player in the international energy market. However, with the global energy landscape constantly changing, so are the international standings of countries and the energy needs of their populations.
This first event in the series will explore the current global energy context by focusing on the unique energy experiences faced by three different countries across three different continents. Experts on energy in China, Germany and Cuba will each speak to these countries’ energy strategies, stories and realities to provide public servants with insights and lessons learned that can be applied to Canada’s own energy context.
Participants will gain a greater understanding of international energy use and Canada's energy role within a shifting global energy landscape.
