Description

Right to Know Week, taking place from September 22 to 28, 2025, is observed annually to raise awareness of the Access to Information Act.

This timely event will feature a conversation with Caroline Maynard, Information Commissioner of Canada, as well as updates from the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s Access to Information, Open Government and Privacy Policy centres on the importance of access to government information and the ongoing responsibility to balance transparency with the protection of privacy.

Participants will learn about recent developments, common challenges, and how to support the consistent application of the Access to Information Act and Privacy Act across government.
