Description

Policy-making plays a critical role in nation-building by helping to strengthen a shared identity and advance a long-term vision that reflects Canada's interests. As the federal public service responds to increasingly complex policy challenges, it must continually adapt its approaches to collaboration, decision-making and implementation.

The Policy Community Conference 2026, jointly hosted by the Canada School of Public Service and the Policy Community Partnerships Office, will explore ways to simplify policy-making while responding to geopolitical complexity. The event will bring together federal public servants, academia, and leaders from the public and private sectors to further explore partnership opportunities that will strengthen Canada's capacity to turn nation-building ideas into action.

Participants will learn about collaboration strategies for transformative change, adaptive policy-making tools, and strategic approaches for managing geopolitical and artificial intelligence pressures in their day-to-day work.
