Description
The United Nation's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is a global framework centred on an ambitious set of sustainable development goals, targets and indicators. This online self-paced course uses the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as a case study to assist learners in gathering insights on the key considerations involved in the development of an effective and sustainable policy implementation strategy. Participants will share their ideas on how to identify a policy problem, select appropriate policy instruments, acknowledge the stakeholder environment, conduct a risk assessment, and evaluate implementation success.
Topics include:
- selecting policy instruments, such as financial measures, regulations, information and services
- implementing policy goals with observable results
- examining potential risks and mitigation strategies regarding the policy implementation process
- consulting and informing individuals impacted by policy implementation
