Description
Policy analysis is a core competency for public servants responsible for developing evidence-based solutions to complex policy challenges. This course offers participants the opportunity to strengthen their analytical skills through engagement with a real-world policy case. Participants will map a complex policy problem, identify key drivers and stakeholders, and analyze potential policy solutions by assessing their risks and benefits.
Topics include:
- exploring the dynamics of complex policy environments and the factors that shape policy challenges
- examining the influence of stakeholders and competing interests in policy development
- understanding how context and timing create policy windows and how policy professionals can position their work to leverage them
Notes:
Each offering is intentionally limited to a maximum of 25 participants to allow for deep discussion and hands-on application.
This course is intended for public servants in the EC group.
