Description

To allow learners to receive a certificate with a new completion date, this course resets every year. You must successfully complete the course by April 19, 2024, to maintain your progress. After April 19, 2024, you can re-register and retake the course to obtain a new certificate.

As part of their orientation to the public service, it is essential that all employees learn about the core values and expected behaviours shared by public servants across Canada. This online self-paced course introduces the foundational public sector values and ethical behaviours presented in the Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector. Through informative exercises and scenarios, participants will learn how to identify values and ethics principles and how to integrate them into their work routines and practices.

Topics include:

  • understanding the Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector
  • identifying and applying values and ethics principles
  • recognizing conflict of interest, ethical dilemmas and accountability issues
