Mastering advanced language functions in a second language takes practice and commitment. This online self-paced course presents a series of activities that support the mastery of oral and reading comprehension in English as a second language (Level C), including the ability to summarize ideas and share opinions. Participants will review the theory behind different language functions, and use practical exercises to apply their advanced English language skills in common workplace situations.
Topics include:
- comparing and summarizing ideas
- convincing, advising and giving opinions
- articulating a hypothesis
- explaining cause and effect
