Please note that the content of FON415 is currently being updated to align it with government priorities and the modernization of the Official Languages Act. Although the Act has been modernized, the current content course remains valid. Learners who register are advised to complete the course by July 4, 2025, prior to the release of the updated version.
The federal public service plays a vital role in protecting and promoting the use of French and English as Canada's two official languages. This online self-paced course presents an overview of the Official Languages Act, along with a helpful quiz on the responsibilities of federal institutions in respecting this Act. Participants will benefit from a refresher on their responsibilities in fostering a bilingual public service that offers services to Canadians in their official language of choice.
