Description
It is important to recognize that people have various intersecting identity factors that shape their perspectives, beliefs, and experiences. Adopting an intersectional approach can help employees foster a more equitable and inclusive public service where everyone feels that they belong.
This dynamic opening event will explore the concept of belonging for 2SLGBTQIA+ employees in the public service, focusing on diversity factors such as gender identity, race, ethnicity, and disability.
Participants will learn how using an intersectional approach can help evaluate the impacts of government initiatives and positively influence the development of effective mitigation strategies to address issues arising in the workplace.
This event is hosted in partnership with the Public Service Pride Network.
