Description
National AccessAbility Week (May 31 to June 6, 2026) recognizes the important contributions of people with disabilities and promotes accessibility and inclusion in our communities and workplaces. As emerging technologies become increasingly embedded in all aspects of the modern workforce, digital accessibility must be integrated from the outset. This is especially important as public sector organizations advance digital transformation while striving to deliver on their accessibility and inclusion commitments.
This event will profile digital tools, including internal platforms and workplace accessibility supports, and how they were developed with accessibility in mind. It will also highlight how thoughtful design and inclusive content practices help remove barriers to accessing and interacting with digital information, and advance digital accessibility at scale.
Participants will gain practical knowledge on how accessibility-by-design approaches make tools more user-focused and user-friendly. They will also learn how to sustain momentum in advancing accessibility in their work.
This event is presented in partnership with the Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer.
