As the country's largest employer, the Public Service of Canada has a duty to ensure that its employees are representative of the people it serves. This online self-paced course explores the application and legal obligations governing employment equity in the federal public service under the Employment Equity Act (EEA). Participants will learn how to use the EEA to help them implement barrier-free hiring and promotion practices and meet their obligations regarding the duty to accommodate in the workplace.
