A critical step in building strong, diverse teams is to recognize, understand and overcome hidden prejudices. This course provides an overview of unconscious bias, examining where biases come from and how to mitigate them in the workplace. Participants will learn to identify and manage biases and will better understand how to foster a respectful and inclusive public service.
Topics include:
- understanding diversity in the workplace
- identifying biases, including where they come from and who has them
- exploring strategies and tools to mitigate bias
