Description
Canada's Anti-Racism Strategy 2024–2028 and Canada's Action Plan on Combatting Hate promote an inclusive and equitable society free of racism, where everyone can fully take part, thrive and feel safe. This online self-paced course defines antisemitism and introduces the social, psychological, and cultural factors that perpetuate it. Through a review of case studies and historical context, participants will develop skills to recognize antisemitism, challenge stereotypes, and demonstrate allyship to prevent and address harassment and discrimination in the workplace.
Topics include:
- exploring the roots and history of antisemitism
- understanding contemporary antisemitism in Canada
- examining antisemitism and stereotypes in the workplace
- identifying ways to support colleagues through allyship
- recognizing the impact of antisemitism on federal public servants
