All public servants at all levels

Description

In an era where empires build algorithms instead of railways, Canada must ensure that it remains the author of its own rules.

Designed for public servants across economic, security, innovation, regulatory, and intergovernmental portfolios, this event features Professor Barry Appleton, one of North America’s foremost authorities on sovereign economic strategy and the interplay of international trade law and digital governance, who will provide candid, forward-looking assessments of the geopolitical, technological, and legal forces reshaping Canada’s strategic environment.

Participants will learn how international rules, platform architectures, and geopolitical shifts are increasingly determining Canada’s policy space, regulatory authority, and long-term competitiveness.
