Facilitation Essentials is a series of practical courses for public servants at all levels that support the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to facilitate collaboration in a group setting. This online self-paced course introduces recommended facilitation techniques that are helpful when collaborating with others in a variety of situations. Participants will gain insight into a range of contexts in which formal facilitation techniques may be useful, and will learn practical steps to apply them in the workplace.
Topics include:
- exploring a variety of different facilitation techniques
- applying facilitation techniques to different scenarios common in the public service
- using facilitation methods to achieve meeting goals, organize a meeting and collaborate with others
Notes:
This course has been designed to allow participants at all levels to immediately apply the knowledge acquired to their day-to-day work. It can also be used in tandem with the supporting Facilitation Essentials series job aids: TRN1-J01 to TRN1-J14.
