Innovation is a process that combines opportunity with value. This online self-paced course (3 of 3) introduces the basic facilitation and prototyping methodologies used to brainstorm, plan and undertake proper testing techniques. Topics include:

  • designing solutions directly with stakeholders
  • generating multiple solution concepts to improve on an existing solution
  • prototyping and testing solutions in response to a defined need
  • generating buy-in and stakeholder engagement
  • telling the story of why your innovation matters, its value and its potential impact

Notes:

This course is part of the Fundamentals in Innovation Series, a three-part series that introduces the basic principles and practices of innovation that can be applied to any workplace or innovative idea. In a collaborative effort, MaRS Discovery District partnered with the Canada School of Public Service (CSPS) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) to create, design, and refine this series for the Government of Canada public service, based on a program developed with PHAC.
