Description

In-person participants of the Annual Learning Day will enjoy a fireside chat with Mariette Fyfe-Fortin, Co-Director of the Complex and Project and Procurement Leadership Program, Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. Titled “Rethinking complex project delivery for success: Insights from 10 years of researching and teaching complex projects,” this special session will take place from 9 am to 10 am and will only be available to those on site.

The Canada School of Public Service is pleased to partner with the Investment Planning and Project Management Community of Practice to host the seventh annual learning day for the community. This year's theme, “Project Delivery in a Changing World,” responds to the call by John Hannaford, Clerk of the Privy Council and Secretary to the Cabinet, to modernize operations and equip employees with the training and tools to deliver effectively and responsibly.

This event features a lineup of speakers who will share their thoughts, experiences and knowledge on how project management is evolving to become more responsive and strategic in an ever-changing government context.

Participants will be exposed to tools to manage projects effectively and strategies for achieving results, fostering cultural awareness, and managing risks.

This event will also be an opportunity to celebrate the recipients of the Government of Canada Project Management Awards.
