Description
Things do not always go as planned when managing a project. This online self-paced course presents common barriers to project delivery and the key factors that contribute to project uncertainty. Participants will review best practices for responding to uncertainty, ambiguity, complexity and volatility.
Topics include:
- defining terms used in the uncertainty performance domain
- recognizing the factors that can contribute to project uncertainty
- identifying best practices for responding to project uncertainty and threat risks
- monitoring uncertainty throughout the project
Notes:
This course is intended for all public servants, including those with or without project management experience. Materials are aligned with the PMBOK® Guide – Seventh Edition.
Completion of the 26 courses in the CAPM® course series can count towards the eligibility requirements for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) exam administered for a fee by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
The CAPM® exam is not administered by the Canada School of Public Service. Learners wishing to take the exam are responsible for validating their eligibility directly with PMI.
