Description

When a project has many unknowns or has room for change, using an Agile framework can be a helpful tool for project managers. This online self-paced course explores the Agile project management framework and its success criteria. Participants will learn about Agile values and principles, how Agile compares to predictive project management, task prioritization, and project iteration planning.

Topics include:

  • recognizing the characteristics of Agile adaptive project management
  • comparing the benefits and drawbacks of adaptive and predictive project management
  • planning project iterations using an adaptive approach
  • identifying Agile project controls and the key phases in adaptive project management

Notes:

This course is intended for all public servants, including those with or without project management experience. Materials are aligned with the PMBOK® Guide – Seventh Edition.

Completion of the 26 courses in the CAPM® course series can count towards the eligibility requirements for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) exam administered for a fee by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

The CAPM® exam is not administered by the Canada School of Public Service. Learners wishing to take the exam are responsible for validating their eligibility directly with PMI.
