Not to be confused with project management, business analysis offers a unique value to project work. This online self-paced course explores the purpose and benefits of business analysis, and activities such as elicitation, traceability and monitoring, solution evaluation, and needs assessment. Participants will examine the business analyst role, identify its responsibilities, and learn best practices for using product roadmaps and validating project requirements.
Topics include:
- explaining the responsibilities of a business analyst
- exploring needs assessment, stakeholder engagement, solution evaluation, and business analysis elicitation activities
- identifying business analysis processes for traceability and monitoring

This course is intended for all public servants, including those with or without project management experience. Materials are aligned with the PMBOK® Guide – Seventh Edition.
After completing all 26 courses in the CAPM course series, learners can register for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® exam (for a fee) through the Project Management Institute (PMI).
