Description
Having a critical project path can help to determine the longest stretch of tasks that must be completed throughout that project. This online self-paced course provides an overview of project management calculations and formulas and their use to determine the effectiveness and richness of communication channels. Participants will examine estimation formulas, including the program evaluation and review technique (PERT), the earned monetary value (EMV), and the float/slack.
Topics include:
- calculating communication channels
- reviewing estimation and critical path analysis formulas
- reviewing earned value and cost management formulas
Notes:
This course is intended for all public servants, including those with or without project management experience. Materials are aligned with the PMBOK® Guide – Seventh Edition.
After completing all 26 courses in the CAPM course series, learners can register for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® exam (for a fee) through the Project Management Institute (PMI).
