Description

Innovation can often be shaped by big ideas surrounding the role of government in society. These big ideas are called governing paradigms and will change over time. Public servants who are interested in innovation need to understand how this process works.

This insightful event features Alasdair Roberts, professor of public policy at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst who will speak about policy paradigms and their impact on innovation. Neil Bouwer, Visiting Professor at the Max Bell School of Public Policy, will also join to contribute his own comments and moderate an open discussion with event participants.

Participants will learn about the process through which paradigms change and how innovation must fit with the changing ideas of what government should do for it to succeed.
