Description

Government of Canada initiatives are delivered in environments where priorities, funding, and operational needs change rapidly and often unexpectedly. In addition to early planning and compliance activities, public servants must also continually identify, assess and respond to these and other emerging risks.

This event features a panel of speakers who will use real-life examples from the public sector to illustrate how embedding risk management into daily work enables teams to identify emerging risks early, and quickly adapt as circumstances change. Panellists will explore how to maintain delivery momentum when facing shifting priorities, resource constraints, implementation challenges, evolving mandates, or operational disruptions driven by internal and external factors.

Participants will leave with practical strategies on how to apply strengthened oversight while still maintaining momentum and delivering results.

Speaker

  • Michel Mailloux, Executive Faculty, Canada School of Public Service

Moderator

  • Camille Beausoleil, Acting Director, Leadership and Support Services, Transferable Skills, Canada School of Public Service
