In today's digital age, incorporating human-centred design techniques into policy and program development can help to meet the changing expectations of citizens in a way that is nimble and responsive. This course for executives provides an overview of the human-centred design (HCD) process, alongside the mindsets, methods and activities that can be useful when putting HCD into practice in a government context. Through knowledge sharing, case studies and hands-on exercises, participants will gain valuable insight into how to incorporate HCD techniques and mindsets into their daily work practices and within their work teams.
Topics include:
- exploring the different stages of the human-centred design process
- adopting a human-centred design mindset as a leader
- sharing and applying human-centred design values with teams
- discussing the opportunities and challenges of applying human-centred design in the public service
