Description

In the workplace, emotions can sometimes run high. This online self-paced course explains the science behind emotions and how to manage your emotional awareness, or emotional quotient (EQ), in order to more effectively navigate difficult situations. Participants will explore self-management techniques and strategies for building emotional intelligence, such as identifying your emotions, taking ownership of your emotions, and becoming emotionally self-aware.

Topics include:

  • identifying examples of emotions, feelings, and moods
  • recognizing the actions and characteristics associated with emotional self-awareness
  • identifying behaviours that can be practiced to cultivate emotional self-awareness
  • understanding the chain of events which can lead to an emotional response
  • reviewing examples of properly applied self-management techniques
