Description

Economic security has gained new urgency in recent years and is a challenge that Canada must face in 2023 and beyond.

This first event in the series will examine how geopolitics, technology and climate change are shifting the balance of international economic power. By looking at the paradigms underpinning these global forces, panelists will describe how nation states are increasingly weaponizing trade, acquiring new technology and intellectual property, seeking dominance in the emerging green economy, and altering and eroding international governance structures.

Participants will gain a better understanding of these dynamic shifts in global economic power and their implications for Canada’s security and prosperity.
